Back to the Grind

Well, spring break is officially over :( . I always have such a great time with my kids that it makes me sad to go back to work. Don't get me wrong, I love my job and once I'm there and back into the routine it's all good. But I really cherish every moment I get to spend with them. I know time flies and they will never be this age again.

To close the off the break, I bought water balloons for the kids and let them have at it. It was so hot today and they loved it. Surprisingly they weren't into throwing them at each other, but popping them on top of their own heads!

Then we ended the day with acrobatics on the jumpie.

The good news is that there are only 9 weeks till summer vacation - not that I'm counting! :)

Annual Egg Hunt

Saturday was our annual egg hunt hosted by Eunice and Karen. It was such a beautiful day with lots of good company. As always the kids had a blast. Thanks Eunice and Karen for creating such good memories of Easter egg hunts! We love you guys!

All the little egg hunters: Nixon, Dylan, Mackenzie, Derek, Julian, and Devin

Dylan and Nixon being buds and having fun together. Dylan will do something and Nixon will follow suit and copy him. Gee, I hope Dylan doesn't teach him anything bad!!! I'll apologize ahead of time Tira!

San Diego Zoo

I love spring break! I took the kids to the zoo and we fed the giraffes for the first time. I thought it was pretty amazing, but Mackenzie didn't much care for all the lovely drool the giraffe gives you in exchange for his biscuit. Dylan would have no part of the feeding, but just watched.

The kids are at such a great age and it's fun hanging out with them. Dylan is at the stage where he can power through without his afternoon nap without any meltdowns, so I don't have to be back home by 1:00. Did I mention I LOVE being on vacation?

Color Me Mine!

Tiffany and I took the girls to the pottery place. Mackenzie has been asking to go for quite some time now, and we thought we'd check it out.

The girls both chose a cupcake trinket box to paint. They had a great time painting and with each other.

We'll pick up the finished product on Tuesday. Can't wait to see the masterpieces!

Colorful Hues

It was our annual egg dying time. This year we dyed eggs at Eunice's house along with her nephews Bryan and Ty. The kids all had a great time and went through 30 eggs like it was nothing!

Dylan only wanted to dye every egg green. He'd dip them in another color, but then re-dye them green. He has liked the color green ever since he learned his colors and could say green. Hmm. Maybe it's a sign that he'll be a rich guy in the future and be very good with his money!

When the kids were done, Dylan looked like the Hulk and Mackenzie was SuperGirl with her hands a dull red. My fingers were slightly blue, so they called me Ice Princess. What's up with all the SuperHeroes?

Happy Birthday Dylan!

Dylan had a great day celebrating his birthday. I can't believe he's three already. Time sure does fly by fast. It's soooo sad to think that he's not a little baby anymore. He's really quite independent and has mind of his own. It feels like just yesterday he was learning to walk and uttering those first distorted words. Now he tells jokes and cracks us all up.

He definitely is all boy! He loves to climb, kick, throw, and karate chop things. He's into Super Heroes and bad guys. What happen to all my sweet pink, baby dolls, and princesses with happy endings? Now I get goblins, transformers, and super heroes that look . . . all boy! At least he's still snuggly and loves to hug and kiss me! Happy Birthday big guy!

Graduates

Well, our cohort is done and we survived! Now show me the money! Tiffany, Julie, Nicole and I went to NU to get our conferral letter and official transcripts in person so we could see the $$$ immediately! We are happy and glad it's all over.

New Smile

After two and a half years of rubber bands, blue glue, and enough metal and wires to build the Golden Gate Bridge, my braces are off! It was the best gift I gave myself. I love my new smile. I never thought I'd enjoy brushing and flossing as I do now. No more threading floss between those stinkin' brackets. Thanks Dr. Gechoff and crew. You guys were awesome.
